“Lisa’s Dream” is the charitable division of Music Mutz, named in honor of our co-founder Lisa, who played a vital role in the creation of Music Mutz by sharing with Kris her dream of a musical collar and passion for helping all animals.

Although there are hundreds of worthy animal causes, Lisa’s Dream mainly focuses on the following organizations:

American Humane

Founded in 1877, American Humane promotes the welfare and safety of animals and helps strengthen the bond between animals and people. A leader in professional education, training and advocacy, they are the sole monitoring body for the humane treatment of animals on the sets of U.S. movies and other productions through their “No Animals Were Harmed®” program.

American Humane also provides therapy dogs for veterans with PTSD and families of military who died in battle.

Best Friends Animal Society builds community programs and partnerships to help end the killing in America’s animal shelters. Their extensive spay/neuter program supports the “No More Homeless Pets” mission.

The organization’s Sanctuary gives medical help, love and acceptance living in a scenic, healing environment among human and animal friends until pets find their forever home.

Mission K9 Rescue

Mission K9 Rescue provides assistance and support for Working Dogs worldwide by serving retiring and retired military working dogs, contract working dogs and police department K9s.

After these brave and devoted dogs retire, Mission K9 rehabilitates or provides medical attention, where needed, while also finding permanent homes for them.

North Shore Animal League

North Shore Animal League is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. Their mission is to rescue and rehabilitate animals instead of euthanizing them. They coined the term “Mutt-i-grees” to elevate the perception of adopting mix breeds, and also focus on educating the public about the joys and responsibilities of rescue.

Not only is North Shore Animal League a leading champion against puppy mills, but they immediately jump into action to find homes for pets following natural disasters when there are no homes for them to return to.
